Center Hill Campground

There were no camping spaces available along our potential route for last weekend but there were 2 available at Center Hill Dam near Cookeville Tennessee. We reserved one and stayed there Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. The site we stayed in was originally reserved by a member of a group that had several other sites but he got sick and cancelled the reservation. That meant that we unknowingly were in the middle of the group. It turned out to be an interesting situation because the group was made up of fly fishermen from the Nashville area who were also with the streams forever movement or some such thing and they were entertaining disabled veterans from three of the area army camps. Some of the vets had never fly fished before so the group put on a little workshop and then paired off so that each vet had a mentor to fish with. The river adjacent to the campground downstream of the dam was full of trout. The campground was downstream from the dam.
I experimented with taking pictures with my cell phone because of the convenience. That is why the quality is so low – sorry about that.
The site we stayed on backed up on a small mountain stream that wound around through the campground before emptying into the main river downstream.
