Walter F George Lake in Georgia

October 30, 2011 § Leave a comment

We are staying in the Cotton Hill Campground at Walter F George Lake near Fort Gaines Georgia.  Most of the sites here are nice.  They have installed all new utilities including septic tanks so that all sites have full hookups.

The lake is very low here also.  This beached dock should be afloat.

In walking around the shore, we ran across these plants.  I suppose you would call them saplings.  They look a little like bamboo but do not have the sections – smooth stocks.

The seed pods resemble short pea pods.

We would like to know what kind of plant these are.

I am trying to find out how to make the ‘leave a comment’ button more pronounced but so far the theme I have chosen does not seem to support it.  In the meantime, the button is at the top of the page under the title..
